ContentThere are many financial challenges facing training providers. The aim of these Workshops is to provide clarification to training providers on VAT legislation and its application. VATMany training providers suffer huge irrecoverability problems on VAT. Consequently an increase in the recoverability of VAT would be a considerable bonus. Did you know that training, whether or not funded from Government sources, that does not qualify for vocational training falls outside of the scope of the VAT exemption and is thus liable to VAT, at the standard-rate? The ever changing structures within funded programmes generate VAT issues. In fact, because VAT is a transaction tax, everything you provide has a VAT potential risk of benefit. The WorkShop will cover:
Who Should Attend?The Workshop is suitable for all training providers whether commercial or charitable, other non-profit making organisations, partnerships and networks. Finance directors, financial controllers, managing directors, course directors, accountants, book-keepers, CEO’s and trustees will find the Workshop useful. Note: VAT registration is not necessary as VAT issues will also affect those organisations not currently registered. FacilitatorThe WorkShop will be facilitated by Mike Payne from Grosvenor VAT Consultants who has many years experience in the issues faced by training providers. Mike Payne specialises in in-direct taxation. Delegate FeesA discount is available for multiple registrations from the same organisation, charitable/voluntary organisations, regular customers and ALP Members. £175.00 + VAT for each delegate - this includes a comprehensive delegate pack containing relevant support information for future reference, refreshments and a full luncheon. A reduced rate of £150.00 + VAT will be offered for second and subsequent delegates from the same organisation. Discounts are available for charitable/voluntary organisations and multiple registrations from the same organisation. Travel & AccommodationThe nearest rail station is Birmingham New Street.There are a number of NCP Car Parks in close proximity to the venue including one adjacent to the hotel. Reservations & ConfirmationReservations will only be accepted on receipt of full payment PRIOR to the event via cheque, BACS or credit card. Cheques to be made payable to ‘National Training Resources Limited’. All reservations will be confirmed in writing within 2 days of receipt of your completed Registration Form and payment in full and will include venue details and directions. Terms & ConditionsCompletion and return of the Registration Form constitutes a contract between yourselves and National Training Resources Limited. Although we are unable to accept cancellations, substitutions can be made at any time. We reserve the right to cancel or alter the event for reasons beyond our control. 'In the event of non-attendance, we will be happy to post delegate packs on request provided full payment has been received. However, please note that a charge will be levied to cover postage and packing and the pack must be requested within two weeks of the event.
